Often when people come to us looking for wedding entertainment, they have a number of questions. We are frequently asked how long a band/singer may perform for at their wedding reception. This really is a crucial thing to know when you're going through that stressful process of planning your big day...
There is no right or wrong answer to this question as it really depends on the act you are interested in booking. However, most wedding bands/singers will often offer a 1 x 60 mins, 1 x 90 mins or in some cases a 2 x 45 mins format (depending on how long you book them for).

When will they arrive?
Live wedding bands will typically arrive to set up and run a sound check around two hours before they are due to perform. You'd probably want to usher your guests into the bar area whilst the band are setting up as band sound checks can be noisy!
Solo acts on the other hand can be good to go in 30 minutes to an hour, it really depends on the specific setup at your function...
How many songs fit into a set?
This is another question we are commonly asked, and to be honest, it's not an easy one to answer. This is incredibly subjective as it depends on who is performing at your function etc... Generally speaking though, if a band is booked for a 1 x 60 mins set then you're looking at around 15-20 songs as most songs will be roughly 3-4 minutes long, but if your guests keep the dancefloor packed and the venue bouncing then you never know, you might even get an encore!
